This poster was designed for the fifteenth edition of the Printemps de la typographie, organised every year by l'École Estienne.
This year's theme was “Model(s)”, which I decided to interpret as all the ways one original idea can be the pioneer for many new variations.
I first designed a poster using Tactic (a typeface designed by Antoine Elsensohn, a former student Estienne student) which I then used as a model myself to hand-draw new type variants which were accumulated onto that poster as if someone was currently in the process of drawing them and still had more to imagine.
