This revival project is based on a typeface found in a 1809 edition of Gabriel Peignot's "Livres Condamnés Au Feu; Supprimés Ou Censurés". It was first hand-drawn before being digitized.
The original typeface (which I haven't been able to identify) has slab serifs and medium contrast, and includes a few character variants which I'm currently working on!
